About Us

About Citizens for a Better Seguin

Citizens for a Better Seguin, also known as Better Seguin, is a nonprofit 501(c)(4) advocacy organization committed to protecting the character, safety, and quality of life of our community. We believe growth should be guided by wisdom, accountability, and respect for the values that have helped make Seguin and Guadalupe County strong. As our city and county continue to grow, Better Seguin works to keep citizens informed, encourage public participation, and advocate for decisions that support safe neighborhoods, responsible development, strong public services, and sound fiscal management.

Our advocacy focuses on the issues that directly affect families, taxpayers, businesses, and future generations, including public safety, police and fire services, parks, recreation, libraries, traffic, streets, water, electric service, drainage, sewer infrastructure, and responsible use of public funds. We use public communication, citizen education, grassroots engagement, and direct dialogue with city management, county leaders, and elected officials to promote policies that serve the best interests of the people.

Mission Statement

The mission of Citizens for a Better Seguin is to advocate for policies and decisions that strengthen the City of Seguin and Guadalupe County while preserving the values that define our community. We believe America’s founders recognized the importance of faith, moral responsibility, liberty, and self-government in the formation of this nation. In that spirit, we use Christian principles as guardrails in every advocacy and policy decision we make, seeking to promote truth, accountability, public safety, responsible stewardship, and respect for the citizens we serve.
